IMAP Medical Clinic of Plano and Frisco

Sonia Chinemelum Chris-Ukah works in our Plano office and is a certified, experienced physician assitant.  She has focused on well-exams, chronic care management, preventative care, and urgent visits.  She looks forward to providing compassionate care and quality service with the highest standards.  She works hard to stay current in all aspects of her field.

She was born and raised in Nigeria, a country located in West Africa. She relocated to Wisconsin in 2008, where she completed high school and later went on to earn a Bachelor of Science in Biology from the University of Wisconsin Oshkosh. After graduating from University of Wisconsin Oshkosh, she completed her Masters of Biomedical Science in Physician Assistant Studies from the University of Toledo, OH in December 2016.  

Before joining IMAP, she worked in various clinic settings including pain management, family and internal medicine.  

Sonia is board certified by NCCPA, and is a member of American Academy of Physician Assistants.  She stresses the importance of choosing a healthy lifestyle as the primary prevention of acute and chronic illnesses.  

Sonia has now relocated to Frisco, Texas where she lives with her husband.  She enjoys hiking, spending time with family and friends. She is fluent in English and Igbo.

Sonia values creating professional and trusting connections with patients and looks forward to serve you.
